outback07
I m getting a great deal from this guy 100 bux for a brand new Subaru Remote Start System. Now how hard is it to self install. I m really good with electronics and wiring but when i look under the steering column my head goes wild and dont wanna f*** up something by cutting the wrong wires. Anyone know how hard it is and steps i could use it comes with Instructions?
Bdubs
If it comes with instructions, knowing Subaru they're a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy, and it'd take some sort of mathematic equation to figure out what the hell the pictures mean. I have no idea what the OEM consists of, but you should wait and see what is provided and go from there.
LGT Dave
Installation instructions are here: http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/downloadFree.jsp?doc_id=139233. It doesn't look like an easy install to me. After installing, the dealer also has to register the remote starter with the immobilizer unit in your car just like they have to with the chips in your keys.
