PeterJMC Posted December 6, 2007 Share Posted December 6, 2007 Can you put in a claim to your insurance? IMO, Insurance shouldn't be used if the repairs are less than $1000. Less than $1000 = I pay out of pocket. It's not worth the possible raise in insurance rates, negative marks you would receive on your record for making the claim, and possible future discounts for a clean record. I would call some junk yards to see if they have any wrecked Outback or Legacy sedans in your color or in another color. Ofcourse you would have to also factor in how much repainting the bumper would cost if you went the option of buying a bumper in another color. Anything '05-'07 shoud fit. Did they just steal the skin or did they take the beam, foam absorber, skin mounting clip, beam mounting brackets? Too bad I didnt know earlier I just sold my outback bumper to a guy on the eastcoast.
