BOS SVT Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 For a stock car how much of a difference is there in 60' and 1/4 time and trap speed between an 05 GT sedan with a 5EAT and a 5 speed manual? AKLGT Posted October 29, 2007 Share Posted October 29, 2007 search. you also cannot compare track times from one car to another if it's a different driver and different location. i can tell you that i ran a 15.03 stock the first time i went to the strip. if i had more experience as i do now, i know i could have easily been closer to 14.8-14.9 or even lower. stock for stock, an MT will be quicker down the 1/4, but on the road, you probably won't feel it that much. however, i will say the 05/06 5EAT low end is kinda choppy. they did smooth this out for the newer model years, but not too many tuning options for those if you are looking to mod your car.
