SPEC Clutch and Flywheel Pedal Travel Question

Would the adjustment help grinding that only happens when shifting fast and high in the RPM range. If i drive normally and shift slow... No issues. Only when fast shifting.

I plan on adjusting the pedal. Just wondering if it would be causing my issue.

Thing was FINE when it went into the shop. and only thing done was a 2006wrx ACT clutch/lwfw setup. So why would it only grind in that situation and not all the time?

If the clutch is never completely disengaged then yes, it will help with your problem.

In that case you will have to lengthen the rod.

ps: take off the gas pedal first, makes it easier.

which way do i spin it to lenghten it?

Never done this before. What else would cause grinding when the only change was a clutch/flywheel setup?

Just so mad. All this money and down time. Got it broken in... And i still cant play hard.

It is threaded just like 99% of bolts, studs, etc.......

The most likely cause of your problem is the clutch is not completely disengaged. It was a problem for my car too with a different clutch. Once it was adjusted properly the problem was gone.

Right like do i adjust the bar in or out to solve the issue? I would assume out and more into the Master Cylender. But i dont know. wanna be pretty sure about this before i attempt it.

Adjust it out more, which would be clockwise.

If it gets worse; you may be too long already and need to go shorter. Mine was actually this way when I got it back from the dealer. If I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor it wouldn't go into first and would grind on rolling shifts with the pedal all the way to the floor, but if I stopped the pedal about an inch or two from the floor it would slip right into gear cleanly.

So if it easier not all the way in maybe I shorten it. But i dont think thats the case.

Its only when i speed shift. Which i would assume is less pedal movement then slow shifting....

Honestly the pickup point is very high. Normally right at the top of the pedal travel.... Even when normal driving. So i am thinking longer. Wish i had a specialist near by. All my friends are EVO people. and they are helping me through this.

yeah i am having similar problems as upsguy did, my car would go into any gear at all, i bleed the clutch revisor, bleed the slave cylinder, changed trans fluid. helped alot but still feel some resistance downshifting like he did, this is my last option before bringing it to subaru i am looking at the rod to adjust it but dont really no how to do this

On a stock, broken-in clutch?
