Touge Tuning
I have done some searching but wasnt able to find specific answers to my questions. Basically I want to change the speakers in my front and rear doors. From what I gather they are both 6.5" speakers with 2" available depth for the speakers? What I want to know is what is the largest spacer someone has used without having to use door pin extenders? Also are there any extra precautions needed to be taken when purchasing rear speakers for the Legacy GT in terms of depth, width? I dont want the speakers to be touching the door panels and do not want to use extended door panel pins either.
str8dwn
I am using the Quart PVF-216 in a coax mounting with 1" of spacers (Kartboy) with no clearance issues front or rear. Mounting depth on the Quart is 2.5". No pins or other things used. It is close in the front to the tweeter, maybe 1/2 of space between door and tweet. Touge Tuning
Do you think you could have used a 1/2" spacer instead of the 1" spacer?
