AKLGT
I've driven the '08 5EAT. The shifts are smoother, but I wouldn't say any faster. Also it was a different story driving a stock '08 5EAT and my Stage 1 5EAT. The rev matching is really the only thing that works better with the torque converter. Until a '08 5EAT is dyno'ed, we really won't know. and a stock 05 or 06 5EAT would have to be dyno'd same day and same dyno to get a good comparison. Wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle wiggle yeah!!! The feeling of the two of them are very different in my opinion. I did like how quickly the second generation 5EAT reacted when I downshifted. It worked noticeably quicker than the generation 1 5EAT. .
