Wooderson
I want to put an oil pressure and a boost gauge in my LGT. I have a few questions: - What is easier to install, mechanical or electronic gauges? I am assuming electronic. - Is either one more accurate? - I don't have to tap in for an oil line with an electronic oil pressure gauge, right? I am thinking about Defi Blue Racer gauges. Not sure if those even come in mechanical or not.
Balrock
Here is an excellent walk through. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24956&highlight=vei+oil+pressure I have the same oil pressure and boost gauges, but they are blue in color. The cubby is by Casopolis...of course, but is not pictured in this thread. Here is one of the many threads on the cubby with good picts. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66581&highlight=cubby+pod

That walk through with the oil pressure gauge shows him running an oil line. I wont have to do that with electronic gauges right? No oil or vacuum line? PhilT
You still need to tap into the oil line to be able to read the oil pressure, and into the boost line to read the boost. How else will you be able to get the readings ? Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon

How else will you be able to get the readings ? For some reason I thought I read somewhere that you don't need to run those lines with electronic gauges. I guess that doesn't really make too much sense, though.
