sduford
Any experience or feedback on the Exel wheels that are sold at WheelMax? I find that they have an exceptionally good looking range of rims, several of which I really like, and they are not only affordable but presently on sale! I found 2 reviews on SubaruReview.com, but I'd like to hear a bit more. Are they strong and durable wheels? That is more important to me and my OBXT then the weight is. GTCanada
Never heard of Exel before but there are some nice looking wheels on the site. Too bad they don't provide the necessary information...offset and weight in particular. Tom
SWortham
I have the 17x7" Exel TZ-7's on my car: http://www.gldomain.com/elantra/9-25-2004/Pict0024_800px.jpg They're heavy. I haven't weighed them, but after comparing them to my friend's 18x7.5" wheels I'd say they must be at least 25 pounds. Kinda sucks... personally, I'd look somewhere else for wheels. The durability of the finish is not very impressive, the weight is horrible, and WheelMax service is the worst in the industry. They do look good though. Oh, and they are very strong... mine have stood up to some abuse.
sduford
Agreed, and they don't provide an email where one could ask either... I plan to call them tomorrow. Sly Sylvain www.digitalfotographer.com - Audi Q5 Club - MB-GLK Club
SWortham
I called them once asking some questions. They were very short with me and didn't go into much detail or anything. I said something that kinda frustrated the guy. And then he said, "Look, this isn't an information service pal!" Heheh, have fun.
sduford
Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll stay away from Wheelmax! Sylvain www.digitalfotographer.com - Audi Q5 Club - MB-GLK Club
Guest *Jedimaster*
Do they come with the Autosum feature? Can I write IF functions into them? Sorry, bad Ex(c)el joke :(
SWortham
I'm looking at buying new wheels right now. Last weekend I inspected the Exel's and discovered they were bent or out-of-round, which explains the vibration problem the car has. It doesn't work too well when you drive on egg-shaped wheels. I'm going to try to get a professional opinion to determine how bad it is. But anyway, I'm looking at some major name brands this time. Considering the 16x7 Enkei RS5. No more buying crappy wheels from crappy distributors for me.
