a89aries
Was wondering if I would be able to tow 2 sea-doo's reasonably behind my 97 GT. Don't want to go through the trouble of getting a hitch installed if its going to suck towing them anyways. At the same time has anyone installed a hitch on an older legacy? All the threads I can find are referring to newer legacy's.
importtund
nope, doesn't look like anybody knows, but I'm interested in doing the exact same thing, so if you try it, let me know how it goes for ya....
Jonathan
I believe the '97 - '99 Legacy GTs were rated to pull ~ 2,500 Lbs. I am not exactly sure how much two Sea-Doo's, and a trailer weight though. I havent had the heart to cut away the rear under-skirt to make room for a hitch receiver, so I have no first hand experiances with using a second generation Legacy GT to tow with. The stock clutch on the manual transmission Subarus is rather weak, so hopefully you wont be doing a whole lot of starting and stopping on hilly terrain. a89aries
I'm thinking that as annoying as it is, our cars are just not designed for towing. I'll just have to wait till I can borrow my parents Baja.
