praedet
How did you prove they were warped?
whobaru
A buddy of mine works for an auto parts retailer that has a machine designed to turn rotors to resurface them. He put the rotors from his older Acura in there, and you could see the wobble in his rotors when he put them on the machine. After he turned them, his brake pedal didn't pulse any more. He said this was extremely rare so he was really pissed off about it.
praedet
I have seen rotors do that from the factory (before even being put on), but never good ones that did it after driving...
whobaru
That's prolly why he was so mad about it. They were ventilated, so I think they were aftermarket (supposed to be good)
praedet
My guess is that they were warped from the factory... So, it was a problem in the manufacturing process, not warping caused by driving...
whobaru
His brakes were fine after install and started doing it after he went over the Sierras form Tahoe to Reno when it was 100+ out and he had four other people in the car. It could be that he just turned the brake residue off, but he knows more about cars than anyone I know (he's 40 now and has been modding for 20 of that), so I believe him when he says they were warped.
