www.virclub.com www.summitpoint-raceway.com/ There's plenty of other car clubs that have group rates.. you just have to look them up.. I typically run with the Audi club, the BMW club, and a few others as well if the weather permits me to go and the schedule. The ones held in the parking lot by SCCA are usually Prosolo (very rare and really fun) and Solo 2 (autocrossing events). These types of events are probably the cheapest and least dangerous and least harmful to you and your car. Road Track Events (like VIR and the such) are more expensive (about $200 a day and up) and have a different atmosphere as it's more of a circuit-racing track and it's about learning the race line through higher speeds. If you want some REAL twisties, take a trip down to: www.tailofthedragon.com at the No. Carolina and Tennessee Smokey Mountains. It's 382 turns on a 14-mile run on US ROUTE 129. I took a BRAND new set of street tires, new set of brake pads and stayed 4 days at Fontana Village Resort. I drove the "dragon" 20 passes (280 miles or so) and killed the new tires and killed the brakes along with boiling the brake fluid. I also gased up 14 times [full tanks] (10 times at the Resort) because I was doing a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of spirited driving. Keefe
