turbobum
I've just installed a set of Hawk HPS pads ( a huge improvement over stock ) and now, every time I hit a bump I get clanking noises from the brakes (brakes are stock). I took the wheels off and re-tigtened everything, I've done numerous brake jobs before so I'm not new to this. Even with everything tightened down, there's still play in the caliper. What gives? RaGe
how much play are we talking here? Need to be a little bit more exact on something like this. I have had a little noise come from mine after the install. Hawk HPS and stock rotors. But it eventually went away in time. Did you re-use those brakets off of the 0ld pads? if so might want to check and make sure they are seated properly. But a bump for more information. OTM. Sorry I didn't mean to start a war which mainly forum people is all about .
turbobum
The only thing I used from the old pads were the backing plates. Which brackets are you talking about? The new pads and the old ones looked identical, except for the backing plates, which I reused.
