gianspi
0.8 Quarts for the rear diff. I'm not sure about the auto tranny. enough zip ties and duct tape will fix anything.
mikeyan
Auto tranny doesn't take 75W90 . We need ATF Type -J. Either Factory ATF (part syn, or so believed to be) or new Amsoil. PM Waverunner if you're interested in the Amsoil, he can make sure you have the Type-J compatible stuff. 16psibrick
thanks guys so our tranny and Front diff fluid is separate right? i know amsoil is good, but hoew about full syn stuff like mobile 1 or redline? b
16psibrick
oh and our front and rear diffs still take 75w90 gear oil right?
waverunner
Redline or mobil 1 auto transmission fluids do not meet the specifications required by SOA. Only subaru specific fluid for the 5eat or the reformulated amsoil universal atf will meet these requirements. you may risk the warranty by putting anything else in it,especially if you have any tranny problems. 16psibrick
thanks for the heads up i think i am going to stick with amsoil, those requirements do NOT apply to the front and rear diff right? b
mikeyan
nope, front and rear diff has same rules as MT cars I think. Amsoil can be had for a very good price. Roughly on par with M1 and Redline ATFs. Mike SoCal Duck Hunters Club - Unit
