235/40/18 on 18X7.5 - Yes or No and why?

I think it depends on the suspension and the loads in your car. I've got 18x8 +46 wheels on a sedan with Tokicos/Ions... 235's rubbed in the rear with stock shocks and Ion springs. When I upgraded to Tokico's, there was more clearance, less rubbing in the rear with everyday driving, but too close for my tastes with a fully loaded car.

I went with 225/40/18 and have had no problems at all including a long road trip with 4 adults and a trunk full of luggage and stereo equipment.

ignore him, he'll go away.
