if you get a subaru credit card you can earn subaru bucks for every dollar spent on the card. you can use them at the dealer for any accessories they provide

I had a hard time finding a good shift knob. I tried quite a few. The Momo F16 leather shift knob turned out to be the best. Fully leather wrapped and ergonomically shaped. The downside was that I needed to get a Cobb STS to lower the shifter since it attached to the lever differently.

Later, I found out that late model Mustang 5 speed knobs fit. That opens up a lot of different lower cost options.

I picked up a Mustang knob about a month ago. I'm happy with it for the most part. However, be aware that the "ring/lip" that holds up the stock shift boot is too big. No way you're gonna get the shift boot over the lip without grinding it down. On the flip side, you honestly don't need to, as the shortness of the shifter (I have the COBB dual adjustible shifter) keeps it securely at the base of the knob.

Also be aware that the black sides aren't actually leather (unless the guy I got it off of ebay was BS'ing me--the auction said leather). But it's plastic. Still looks good though. I'll take some pictures of mine if I remember today.

There is a difference. The five-speed knob does not have the cutout for the reverse ring on the six-speed tranny. The six speed does have recess for the reverse ring. You should buy the knob to match the tranny you have.

What do people think of this knob? I would say its pretty bad ass.

It's pretty cool looking but not functional. It's too small and not shaped correctly and it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I got tired of mine and sold it. I knew the guy who bought it wasn't going to like it. He eventually sold it as well.
