Nickz31se-r
When I finally made my mind up about which sways to get I decided upon cobb b/c 1) I thought they had worked out all the issues 2)Rear bar comes with braces Well my front links are still raking in. I have yet to drive the car as I just completed installation in the last hour, I hope that it doesn't cause any issues. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010188.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010189.jpg The back bar went in fine and the bracket kit seems like a quality piece. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010190.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010191.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010192.jpg Can't wait to drive the car. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/P1010193.jpg
fatbastard
No problems with it rubbing on the X02 exhaust? I picked up a set of Cobbs and am thinking of doing the XO2 soon too so I am hping there are no issues.
mikeyan
are you lowered at all? i think that causes the front endlinks to angle like that. I believe mine are similiarly angled, cusco fsb + lowered on bilsteins/pinks. Stock front endlinks. Mike SoCal Duck Hunters Club - Unit
VtspecB
That looks like Bilstein yellow in the first picture of rear. my vBGarage
hutru01
I recommend getting the cobb endlinks to go with the sways. The factory endlinks have much suck.
BoxerGT2.5
You can straighten them out with washers. OBAMA......One Big Ass Mistake America!
Nickz31se-r
No problems with it rubbing on the X02 exhaust? I picked up a set of Cobbs and am thinking of doing the XO2 soon too so I am hping there are no issues. No problem with the exhaust at all. Yes I am lowered on wagon sti pinks. After driving all is well for now, I will eventually pick up some links but I need to be able to look forward to leaving something for later as I just did full exhaust, sways, tdc stage 2, and brembos around. The car handles much better now, it feels like I am running a much stiffer spring and to be honest the over all ride just feels smoother driving down the highway. fatbastard
So you are saying that just the sways made teh spring rate seem stiffer...glad to hear that, I was expecting them to make the next weakest link more obvious. I would like to go to an aftermarket suspension but am worried about lowering the car because of the hitch and don't have the coin for coilovers. Nickz31se-r
The car was already tight with the bilsteins/sti springs. Stock suspension was flat out horrible in my own opinion. I can't say how only sways would feel as I have had the other bits on 2 weeks after purchasing my car. I would try to source the other parts to complete a setup like mine or pick up the KW coilovers(personal opinion as only sways will never yield the stiffness to alleviate the squat and dive that the stock suspension is known for). droideka
What's going to happen is that the bottom of the front endlink (portion connected the the suspension bit) is going to break that bolt inside the boot. Good luck getting it off when it goes. I just replaced all four yesterday with the Kartboy endlinks and placed a 1/2" spacer on the top bolt to straighten them out. I had wondered why the front end felt so floaty as of late and now i know Use a pair of needle nose vise grips to hold that lower bolt still while you spin the nut off if yours happen to go bad.
