The Unofficial Outback Thread

Recommended Posts

I thought since there were a few of us that were considering the Outback XT (or other) as a viable option instead of the Legacy GT (sedan or wagon) that we should start a thread that pertains mainly to the Outback versions. There are a few bits of information that we need to know about the Outback XT that we can't possibly answer right now such as: 1) What is the weight of the OBXT as compared to the GT? 2) What is the final drive ratio of the OBXT? 3) What options will we see for the OBXT that we won't see for the GT? 4) How much more will the OBXT cost as compared with the GT? (suspension differences) 5) How will the OBXT perform as compared to the GT? These are some of the questions that I have and I am sure there are others who have some as well. Please feel free to discuss them here. For those of you who have the Outback brochure, did you notice that the sporty dual exhaust is absent on the rear pic of the Outback LL Bean edition. I know that I have seen on the Subaru.co.uk site that there is a version that maintains the dual exhaust as seen on the GT but I am wondering if that is only for the XT models here or what. If anyone can find me a pic I would love to have this cleared up. I also wonder what the new Outback sedan will look like?

c'mon, black? what color was your GT going to be? I was still thinking silver but I want the beige interior so much that I think I might have to go with either Atlantic blue, or red.. but black is still inthe running ;)

I totally agree :woowoo: ...... here's my current posts about the Outback XT '05 from the Subaru Forester Forum (that I started). I have contacted Subaru Australia, and these links show my current feedback.

LINK TO POSTS ABOUT THE OUTBACK '05 (that I started) FROM THE SUBARU FORESTER FORUM

ALSO THIS LINK STARTS OUT ABOUT THE '05 FORESTER BUT IT HAS ALOT OF '05 OUTBACK INFO IN THE LATER PAGES

Hope this adds some fuel to this forum :D
