StPaddysWagon
Well it happened. I have been carpooling to work for some time now. The one day I do drive it to work, a buddy of mine I park near cuase he is equally careful with his vehicles, dinged my back passenger car door! This pisses me off really. I know it was him: washing the car the night before it was not there, only time I left the car unattended was at work that day I noticed it, also on his driver's door there is a knick very similar to my ding. Anyhow, Is the door rub strip replaceable? Can it pop out to be repainted or simply replaced? It sticks out like a sore thumb and for 4000 miles old I don't want to have it there. StPaddysWagon
Any idea on how to remove it? What is the part number?
red beast
well....let me tell you. for the 2005 model year subaru had them as a prepainted part. in their infinite wisdon they all started to be sold unpainted. they are around $70 per door. you can buy them seperatly. then add the cost to have it painted. it is held on by double sided tape and ther are hole in the door for alignment. the tape is already on the part. you can send a bill for around $150 to your buddy. have fun!!!!
