enkeiandmore
so i got my rims in the mail and put them on no problem. but a few days later i notice when i roll to a stop i hear this really annoying rubbing noise. so i looked at all 4 wheels and fender areas and i dont see any contact. can anyone give any clues to this? oh yea my car is also running tein basic with an 1 in drop
andrew.anderson
put your car on a lift and spin the wheels to see if they are rubbing. If that doesn't identify the issue just roll along slowly and have someone watch the wheels. I bent in the dust shield that is attached to my Stoptech BBK last time I was working on the suspension. I put it up on the lift and was able to identify the probelem in a couple of minutes.

KartRacerBoy
I've got the same wheels with 225/40/18 Yokohama AVS ES100s. Swift springs. No rubbing issues at all with tires that I've noticed with a big drop.

NSFW
What offset are your superleggeras? Have you reached behind the front tire to see if it clears the strut?
KartRacerBoy
Clears the strut. +48 offset. No rubbing.
NewScooby
I have +51 offset Superleggera's with no rubbing and lots of room around the 225/40/18's. I plan to go with 245/35/18's and rolling the rear fender lip( if needed) with my next set of tires.
enkeiandmore
problem solved. when installing the new rims i forgot to do some finals tightening to one wheel and that gave me the noise. odd thing is i could of sworn that i checked all 4 wheels but then again it was getting late and i did have midterms that week but oh well no more noise so im super happy again. thank you all for responding to my question
