pengrus
I was told that Legacy did not have much noise block work down from the factory, but you can have the car shop to add some extra layers under the hood and around the door to better block the noise. Have anyone done this? Any pointer would be greatly appreciated.

pengrus
Thanks for sharing this. What kind of shop usually can do this dynamatting? And how much does it cost? I am very interested in doing this.
chikmagnet
I did it myself but I am also the Car Audio Sales and Installation Manager at Circuit City so you know it was cheap for me just to let you know it can get quite expensive as far as labor goes because it is extrememly time consuming -Josh -Josh Herrera -2007 DGM OBXT
pengrus
Thanks Josh... Any rough guess how much it could cost if I pay the retail price?
chikmagnet
labor is charged by the hour based off my own vehicle to do 4 doors it will take roughly 4-6 hours if you came to my shop as a normal customer i would probably charge you $200 the product it self would run about $200 -Josh Herrera -2007 DGM OBXT
pengrus
Ok, so it would cost approx. $400. Last questions: 1. Is it necessary to do this on a 2007 Legacy GT? Is GT version already noise proof? 2. I guess Subura shop themselves do not do mods like this?
chikmagnet
the year does not matter and all manufactures put alittle noise blocking materials in the vehicles and the gt versus non gt probably both have the same amount of noise blocking materials in them and no I don't believe that subaru will do this for you but then again they could make a lot of money off of an unaware or uneducated consumer -Josh Herrera -2007 DGM OBXT
