ih8vtec13
The center console and gauges are realy nice but they look just a bit too farmilar, say it with me now RIP OFF. But on the whole it does look nice
WildStang
What is the cut out in the center of the front bumper for?
jaymesbry
it looks ok, im not digging that infiniti stitching on the seat.. and if the gauges are the same as the other years.. then theyre not so special either.. and theres way too much aluminum trim being used.. and that analog clock has got to go but G35's are sweet though.. the power is so linear and smooth.. the coupe was my second choice.. il collaudatore
gauges- those gauges look so familiar- aren't they a copy of a Toyota Celica crossed with Audi? dash- Subaru Legacy interior door panels- that swooshy bit of aluminum looks like it came from the new BMW 5-series And that stitching is just tacky, that's like getting "Powered by VTEC" stiching on my Honda seats. Guest *Jedimaster*
Hmm- you can keep that thing. I've never been a Nissan fan, but that looks like it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
eatV8
What is the cut out in the center of the front bumper for?
The coupe has that aswell. There is a color coded piece that goes over it if you live in a state that does not require a front licence plate. if you do need a front licence plate there is a small mounting clip that goes in there for your plate
Driver72
Yeah, I went to the Infiniti dealer here in Valencia yesterday and looked at the car too. They just arrived yesterday in dealers here. What's MORE attractive is the new power ratings: Auto: 280 hp 270 tq Manual (comes next month) 298 hp 260 tq Then new manuals should be barn burners. With 38 more hp it should put it into 350Z territory, as the current (2004 an older) cars are within a couple tenths and only a mph or two slower in the 1/4. But am confused as to how they could of tuned it to have 11 hp MORE than the 350Z but it's torque rating not increase at all. Yet, the autos got 20 hp increase along with a 10 ft-lbs increase. Maybe it's just marketing and they felt if they listed the torque figures of the new 298 hp G35 manuals at what it probably makes it would infringe on the 350Z too much. At this price and power rating now though, the G35's just upped the bar again! What I also don't get though is the 99 pound listed weight increase on the 2005 sedans with leather (now standard). Wonder if they reinforced the car or something, or if the prior years models (with leather) were just listed too light.
gtguy
G35s are ugly to me, but to each their own. If they really wanted to improve the car, they'd make AWD available with the manual transmission, and make a wagon. Kevin
Mines
rember that those power ratings are for the coupe, the sedan has lower power ratings
Tide
Coupe and Sedan have same HP with 05, AFAIK.
rember that those power ratings are for the coupe, the sedan has lower power ratings
Mines
ur right, wow that is pretty crazy 298 for a g35 5mt? -_-
eatV8
:) yep, all manuals are 298 either Coupe or Sedan... That VQ35 is nice little engine.
crapy
C230K has 189 hp 240 has 168hp 320 has 215hp...but the 0~60 is 6.8 for MT, and 6.9 for AT, which is very good IMO. It seems the G35 is a huge NA V6 monster now for having 298hp :D
wunderkind
I believe the most powerful 3.5V6 still belongs to the Acura RL. But the VQ block is really something.... Still prefer the legacy over the g35 sedan. Now the coupe is another matter. :D
lemming
i love the VQ engine. but if that new center console is the "new and improved/uprated interior" --it's not much different from the center stack in the plebian legacy. LOL.
scubie02
I can never really decide if I like the looks of the sedan, personally
