sde Posted November 5, 2004 Share Posted November 5, 2004 has anyone done this? should i just do it, or take it to the dealer. when they installed my homelink mirror, they left a piece of white sticker on the bottom, so when you look at it fromt he outside, you see this white half circle that is partly ripped. it looks like a matter of just taking off the casing and pulling it, but if it is too much of a hassle, i'll just take it to the dealer. they didn't give me the isntructions that came with the homelink ( if there were any ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
sde Posted November 5, 2004 Author Share Posted November 5, 2004 i got it .. it was a sticker that they probably used to mark where the mirror was supposed to go. the only tricky part was getting the casing back on. there is a lip that comes down from the mirror where there is about a cm between the window and the lip. when i was pushing the casing back on, that lip would just push back towards the windshield. i just stuck a rag to prevent it from moving back and then it clipped on easily.
