SVXdc Posted April 10, 2007 Share Posted April 10, 2007 The subwoofer itself will be the same size/shape. Might be one of two or three different wattages, but any of them will work just the same. The mounting bracket might need a small modification to bolt into your car. Most people have been able to bend the bracket slightly to make it work. Some skip the bracket and use heavy Velcro to grab the carpet. The wiring harness will be either of two different types. One works on all 1995+ Subaru radios. The other will either work with your radio, or require a small mod to convert it into the "works with all radios" style. See the posts about subwoofers (and their harnesses) in this thread on NASIOC:Stock Head Unit information - pinouts, subwoofer, aux. inputs & more If you're buying a used sub, make sure the seller is including a complete (uncut) harness, or adjust the price accordingly. A replacement harness runs about $75 from the online Subaru parts vendors. You can also construct your own for about half that (see my homepage link).
