brus brother
Over the last 3-4 months, I have been noticing a whine which seems to > come from forward of the passenger compartment. Deer Killer
Turbo? No load on the rack means the turbo won't spool.
c_hunter
If it's a very high pitched noise (similar to the noise a TV tube makes) then it's the gears in the center diff and is normal. Try to ignore it, that's my best advice. My 02 LL Bean Outback (4EAT) made this noise but my 05 OB XT (5EAT) does not. Craig
brus brother
Deer Killer: Not a turbo. Thanks. Craig: Since it only started recently and I am covered under a 100K warranty, I'd like to have some direction to aim SOA. Hep me puleeze!
brus brother
I'll be getting yet another trany from SOA. After a few weeks more of whining, it developed a clicking sound in P and N. The trany had been replaced at 41K due to delayed engagement and now 28K on the new reman trany, it's heading for the scrap heap. What gives, bad carma?
