rexster Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 so did you go with the 245/40/17? it looks like it from the pics. i'm curious why you would get those over the 235/40s. with the eagle F1s on a 8.5" rim you only gain 1/5" of tread width over the 235/40, slightly less with an 8" rim. and you add 3 lbs of weight. praedet Posted April 20, 2007 Author Share Posted April 20, 2007 You get more load capability with the 245s... My 225s on the stock rims had roughly 8" of tread. I now have slightly over 9"...
