07 owners with XM - where is the XM sat module located?

Recommended Posts

Im thinking of pulling and disconnecting it because of another thread where it or a factory sub (which i dont have) appear to be the culprits when it comes to a parasitic power draw while the car is off, leaving the car battery dead if idle for more than a week or so.

I want to pull the module and see if the problem is reproducible the next time im out of town.

It's actually 'piggybacked' off the bottom of the stock head unit. Pull out the radio and you'll see a connector from the stock radio to the XM unit below it.
