antny
Does anyone know if a STi steering rack will work on a LGT? A local guy is parting out his STi and he has a 11:1 Revlab steering rack he is selling. SO anyone know?

Xenonk
both, the tie rods are different in length.. the coupling is different enough that it wont reach.. Keefe
Xenonk
there's a significant difference in the length of the tie rods.. in all honesty, there's no real need to even think of getting a shorter rack.. you're only going to make the car more prone to understeering if your driving inputs are not smooth.. I use to have the rev-lab quick rack on my WRX, and I have to say, it was really easy to overdrive the car. Unless you are drifting or rallying, there's no real need for a quicker rack on either the OBXT or GT. Keefe
captainmorgan
Outback (all models) and LEgacy (non-turbo) is 3.2 turns lock-to-lock. Legacy GT is 2.8 turns lock-to-lock. WRX is 2.7 lock-to-lock. STi is 2.6 turns lock-to-lock.

Xenonk
No need for a quicker rack on the LGT, IMO... but the OBXT is a slower ratio. I kinda liked the quicker turn-in of the LGT. once you learn about hand pre-position, you'll eliminate the need to have a quicker rack.. shuffle steering is a nice thing to learn as well..
