elle
I have a scratch on the front passenger side bumper on my car (approx 5x10 inches). Where can I get this fixed? Or is this something that I could fix myself? Anyone have any pointers on this? It's not too deep. The plastic is scratched, but no denting or cracking. Jonathan
Try some light polishing compound / buffing. Then touch up paint. Yeah, doing that is never going to look "right", but it is cheaper than going to an Autobody shop that will take three days, 200 bucks for a new bumper, and an additional 150 or so just to paint the new bumper. You could wind up spending $400-500 doing this. Or you could report to your insurance company that someone bumped your car and drove off, and let them pay for the repairs. BrownBoy
Try Scratch X by Meguiars, it has worked for me. I just used this on my mom's 06 Sienna that is red. You can't tell the scratch was even there. It took a few coats/times whatever, but it got rid of a ~8 in. long scratch that was past clearcoat and paint. lorne
You can try Blendtek in Bellingham. http://www.blendtek.com/ There the ones that do a lot of the onsite bumper repairs at dealerships... Lorne
