direavenger
I couldn't find anything on the forums, and it is the only thing preventing me from removing the door trim panel and installing my RaaMMat BTX sound deadener. How do you detach the lock cables from the door handle/lock assembly on the door panel? The Dude - Two inches and counting...

Bdubs
pop the plastic clip off of the cable at the handle.... it sorta rotates... Yeah, I've noticed that Subaru has never strayed from this "snap" system. Its the same in my 95 as well. Just pull the rod off the clip, and it unhooks almost by itself. Just watch how it comes undone, putting it back on is just a little tricky.

deneb
http://b-quiet.com/ is a good source for sound deadening material. I've used their v-comp product in my LGT and in my last car; it works pretty well, much better than dynamat for noise reduction.
direavenger
http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?p=pr I'm told that it is good stuff, but I haven't had a chance to install it yet. The Dude - Two inches and counting...

I bought 50 sq ft of it. Right now, I have no door panels and my trunk lid carpet is off. Doing the install throughout the week when I have time.
