I heard a rumor about royal purple synthetic oil 5w30 but i thought that you shouldnt use sync. till 60k at least? You'll find some good info and threads regarding Synthetic....just use the search function. Is this 7,000 change going to be your first? kenchan Posted February 15, 2007 Share Posted February 15, 2007 i noted a little consumption (less than 1/2 quart) since i changed the oil to synthetic at around 10k. im running Mobil1 15k mile gold cap; used about 12k of its life. will change the oil as soon as it gets warmer. also, some people are checking their oil level on their driveways...make sure the car is level cause you will get false readings.
