Couple questions

I have an 06 Legacy SE.

1: Does anyone know how to replace the light in the mini storage compartment above the stereo?

 

2: Is there a mod or method to make my doors auto lock after the car is moving?

 

3: The manual specifies 7500 mile oil changes? should I just stick with 3k?

 

4: Apperently the auto off interior lights has been disabled, how to I re-enable it?

 

5: Where is the best place to go in the Portland area to get 3 very small dings removed?

1. You probably don't have a bulb in that cubby. There isn't one in our '06 but there is one in our '05, so I had the dealer check (thinking it was just burned out) and they said, nope, there isn't one in the '06.

This will be highly debated. I do my first oil change at 2K. If you live in an average climate and you use synthetic you can get away with 7,500 miles though I do 5,000. You could just go 8,000 and change the filter halfway through . If you're hard on your car and you live in a harsh climate doing it every 3,000 might be a good idea. Generally the 3K 3 month thing is considered an invention of oil companies and those in the car service industry.

4: The switch is in the middle, by auto off, I mean the lights stay on even after the 10 minute interval if the door is left open. They do turn off if the doors are closed.
