Keyless remote standard in 2001 Legacy L wagon?

[font=Comic Sans MS]I just bought a 2001 Legacy L wagon. It didn't come with a remote FOB but I read somewhere that remote keyless entry was a standard feature in this model. Does anyone know this for a fact? So I guess I will keep trying to program it or take it to the dealer.
