AlpineLimit3d
Hey guys, I just bought a 2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited and the first thing I had to do was install my AVIC-Z1. I bought the AVO Turboworld kit to place the double din unit in the cubby hole and relocate the info panel to the ashtray. But I decided to do some custom work on my leggy and install the unit where the factory stereo was. So then I bought the single din kit from Crutchfield and dremeled/filed/cut the kit to fit the unit using the factory side brackets. The entire install took about 5 hours for everything. Current mod list: -Pioneer AVIC-Z1 -XM NavTraffic Tuner -Blueooth Adaptor -Escort Passport 8500 x50 -Disabled DRLs -20% Tint Windows I'm a car technician so if you have any questions or need help, let me know. P.S. I plan on getting a 7" inch screen to replace the cubby and flush mounting it with the AVO kit. http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5456/dsc00637uo9.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/5526/dsc00632dr5.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2235/dsc00629aj6.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/892/dsc00636xb3.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/9994/dsc00623rz3.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1082/dsc00626ds7.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/8880/dscn0273lj3.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/6080/dscn0310jg9.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/7351/dscn0275hu8.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/8366/dscn0290vh6.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1313/dscn0308zi3.jpg http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2235/dscn0279fi0.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/1892/dscn0294jf6.jpg http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/2706/dscn0309vz3.jpg
axis008
Great install. Very clean. Do you plan on doing anything with the cubby since you did a switcheroo early on? Second screen, perhaps? Hahah. -ben

I wish somebody with a lil more time on their hands could pick up where TDC is falling short on the JDM ACC kit... one of our resident engineers should be able to figure it out.. maybe start a donation link so they can order one and fiddle?! Mot 2.5
is the Escort Passport 8500 x50 worth it ? i am a highways man
TSiWRX
^ For open highway, go with either the Valentine Research V1 or the Escort RedLine, if you've got the dough. Alternatively, the RedLine or the Beltronics STi-Driver, if you live in a detector-restricted area or commute through such on a regular basis. If you don't have or don't want to invest that much, many second-tier units actually can also meet your needs quite well.
