Effin Ponderous
I recently took the hogzaust concept and modified it to (IMO) sound even better. Rather than using washers, I simply made two cuts in the stock gasket, as shown below. Two big benefits are that the exhaust only points towards the rear which eliminates the sound reverberating off of the body (eliminates drone) and there is no carbon buid up on the body panel. Now that I have the sound I want, I was wondering if it is possible to replace only the muffler tips without any cutting? If so what size tip (input) would fit on the stock can and how long would be good??
G.T.Subie
Have you noticed that this ends up sounding more like an exhaust leak the longer you have it in? I reverted back to stock from the Hogzawst. Denial is your best friend
Effin Ponderous
That was the problem I had with the washer technique. I have had this setup on for several weeks and it still sounds great.

Effin Ponderous
Come on guys, there's got to be a way to replace them!?
BMac1203
There isnt really. I started a thread about this a few weeks ago. Youre going to get a lot of posts from people saying "you can't do this". I was looking for just a swap-out of tips if you will. Supposedly how our piping works, you can't. You have to atleast cut some of the pipe off, or you can get custom ones welded on. Either way, you won't be able to go back to stock afterwards (from what I was told by about 5 users). Our only option looks like aftermarket cans, but I dont want them. Bah. Need a CarPC bezel? PM me!
