str8dwn Posted January 28, 2007 Share Posted January 28, 2007 So i've had various sound systems in each of my previous cars, but I've also had a host of annoying rattles despite above average amounts of dynamat extreme. My question: is it the car over time loosening up normally, driving style, amount of time panels are pulled off and on for install, or is it the bass that causes the rattles (even with system off)? I am a bit hesitant to put yet another system in my new LGT and have it sound like a rattle trap in 2-3 years. I am going slightly more conservative with the 10W6 Stealthbox if I decide to do it, but 400w on bass is no slouch either. My last car was a Protege 5, so I certainly wouldn't consider it on the same level as a Lexus for fit and finish, but by the time I sold it, it was driving me nuts.
