KTM 525
Title asks the question, is it?
gtguy
The extended warranties are, yes. The stock warranty automatically transfers, as it comes with the car, rather than being purchased by the car's owner. Kevin
cosmos
What I read on Subaru's website that the original warranty was for the original owner? Is something different stated in the owners manual?
gtguy
What I read on Subaru's website that the original warranty was for the original owner? Is something different stated in the owners manual?
I just know what I know from having talked to my dealer about the warranty, both stock and extended. The stock warranty is essentially a warranty of the car. There is no transfer fee were you to sell the car. The 3/36K coverage, if you sold the car within that time, would just carry over. If, on the other hand, you have the extended warranty, if the new owner wants it, there is indeed a minimal ($25 or so...) transfer fee to move it to the new owner. agctr
Agree with Kevin, the warranty is based on the VIN of the car not the acutal owner. This would also include any extended warranty. Adam.
Bob N
I also agree with Adam as I bought a repo 2003 WRX from the local CU and called SOA to register the VIN number and they told me the amount of time plus mileage that I had left on it. But of course I was able to trade this in for a new Legacy GT just last week! Woo Hoo Baby! Love it! Wish I had it broke in though (only 504 miles).
