SLegacy99
How bout that mere fact that Subaru isnt owned by Ford. Volvo safety ratings arent what they used to be in comparrison to the competition. Nobody knows, or in this case cares to know any better. ........and the Legacy never came with a 1.8L engine. SLegacy99
old..like early 90's subies did come with a 1.8L might even be older than that The Loyale. A whopping 90 hp.........but not the Legacy. Revolutionary (for Subaru) from the start.
SLegacy99
And the Mini got hammered in this year's round of safety tests.
geddyup
I own both Question-is the suby awd to much??? They are both nice cars. The volvo is much more refined all the way around. I just picked up a non limited 05 and it is on it's way to cobb for a makeover. The 05 black suby I had was a pile. The 05 non limited is much nicer with a better build and less imperfections like ratteling dashboards and peel off paint. Drive the volvo and then comment until then... SLegacy99
Drive the volvo and then comment until then stfu I have, so Ill comment. I like the square Volvos. I drove a friend's S80 for a little while. Not impressed for the price. Tiptronic transmission so that you can shift in all 4 gears. 200 hp to move the 3600 lb. boat. Meh, kinda boring. I found the S40 a little more fun, but I dont think I could ever tolerate the interiors. Comfortable seats, but the dash is to clunky, chunky, and well hackneyed. Id go nuts from looking at all of the gray.

geddyup
I drive an 04 v70R ipd ecu upgrade 0-60 5.3 and 2 kid seats in the car. It seems much lower then the lgt. I bought the 05 non limited for a 5 year fun car.
legandrex
Has anyone noticed how cheap you can buy a used S60R for? Mid to low $20's for a few year old car. Pretty cool for that kind of money. I heard they have the turning radius of a Carnival cruise ship however.

praedet
I drove a V70R MANY times. The seats are not worth the extra money over my LGT wagon... 1 that I drove was a friend’s and was chipped. It felt close to my stock LGT. Stage II+ now? Don't even try... And I guarantee on equal tires I stop faster Ted
