Ispool4u Posted January 7, 2007 Author Share Posted January 7, 2007 Just wait till you go on a highway trip - then you'll miss the VR4's 6th gear something awful. Subaru hasn't figured out that you can space the gears further out on a car that makes this much torque so as a result, 5th gear yields annoyingly high rpms at 80+ mph cruising. I am one of the old fogies at 3Si -- same nick, same avatar. --> My old car I'm still on 3si also. Same SN. I miss the 6th gear cruisin a lot. No modern 6spd cars are geared like the VR4 that I have driven. I didn't know about the catless uppipe on the 07 so thanks for that info. I dunno if I'll ever mod it but it will be hard not to.
