harrydog
My '06 Outback (5EAT) sometimes makes a slight metallic clinking sound when I put it into reverse. It seems to be coming from the driveshaft or somewhere near the rear of the car, although I can't be sure. It usually does this first thing in the morning when backing out of the garage for the first time and it doesn't happen again until the next day, after the car has been sitting for an extended period. It doesn't always do this but it does it more often than not. Has anyone else had this happen and any thoughts on what it could be?
