edkwon
Not true. My '96 had to have 89 or higher, or it performed terribly and blew O2 sensors. yours is the only car ive heard of requiring 89 octane from the factory. Ed
BOY
I had an employee lease an 06 Impreza 2.5i 5MT... she insisted on running premium (she is a cargurl). Funny thing is, she was getting over 30MPG very early on in the break in in mostly 40-45 MPH suburban driving. Even getting to 35MPG on a hwy trip. The new motors are making good power and the new ECUs should be able to make the most of the increased octane. Heck, notice how the N/A H4 subies are the only ones not affected by the new SAE standard? YMMV

Ed ..........Me too.............My dad's 330xi, reccomends 93, but you can put 89 in it and only lose a couple hp.
