tarmacstage Posted December 12, 2006 Share Posted December 12, 2006 The other synthetic/vs. dino oil thread is quite full, so I'm posting my question here: Has Subaru of North America switched their new autos over to synthetic? I guessed they already had, but posts in other threads have led me to believe otherwise. Furthermore, I'm wondering what type of oil is in my '03 Outback, and what to use when oil changing time comes. For my own part I had switched my '89 325i over to synthetic at about 190k, with no problems. Moreover, I'm aware that almost all German manufacturers switched to synthetic around the late 90s.
