bmc
How much body work would be involved in removing the stock spoiler? I didn't want one originally but of course the dealer had a Legacy with everything I wanted but it had the spoiler.. Being impatient and not wanting to wait weeks if they ordered the car without the spoiler, I got the one with it. Now I really just don't want it anymore... Would this be a big job to remove? Tide
I'm sure you could probably find someone to do a trunk swap with you. What color and where are you?
RoundBoy
you can't just 'take off' your spoiler. Its bolted on, and also has 2 cables attached through the hinges to hold it on. You need to take it to the dealership, and have them do a deck lid swap with a spoiler-less trunk.. do it ASAP.. as the more time that passes between your car w/ washing & waxing vs a dealer car sitting dirty in the sun... the colors might be slightly off... bmc
Trunk swap, good call. Didn't think of this. It's Black and I'm in CT. I'll go talk to the boys down at the dealership, see if they can help me out.. Thanks guys
Guest *Jedimaster*
I have no useful comment here, but how about a video of you tieing rope to your spoiler and then to a tree- then taking off full throttle?
bmc
Tug of war with a tree huh.. That'd probably make some good video and I would no longer have the spoiler.. aahhh decisions..
RoundBoy
actually this cable was added after a number of wrx wings came off the car. now if your spoiler pops off, the cable has a foot or so of slack.. so your spoiler bounces all over your trunk and sides... good trade off :)
