dave g
When I got home with my 2007 SE sedan, I noticed one exhaust tip sits lower. It is only 1/2 inch, but easily noticed. Looking at it, they both appear a bit low to me. The right one is 1 3/4 inch down from bumper to top of tip, the left is 2 1/4 inches. Can anyone tell me if this is typical or easily adjusted? mickeyd2005
This is normal. You can fix it by unbolting the muffler can from the y-pipe and then have a friend hold the muffler in the position that you want and then retorque the bolts. The dealer may do it for you too. My left can sits lower too? It seems like it's always the left can (on other cars too). It could be because the muffler flange bolt tightening torque moves the left can lower and the right can upward. All CBE (stock and aftermarket) seem to need a little bit of adjustment.
