16psibrick
just gone done this newest 05 G coupe, came all the way up from socal The goals were simple: 1. sound quality 2. clean, dont take up too much trunk space while maintaining the spare tire lets get started: the signal starts off with the Pioneer Avic-Z1 nav unit, installed via the double din finisher, note the two antennas on the dash, one for the Nav, the other for XM radio http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg1.jpg the DLS remote bass control is shaved and then mounted into the ash tray, so the owner can flip it down and adjust the bass level: http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg2.jpg Front stage features a pair of DLS ultimate UR36 3 way components. The midrange and tweeter as usual, is flushed into the kick panels: http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg3.jpg while the midbass sits in a semi-sealed and dampened cup inside the stock location, the door is dampened as well: http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg4.jpg back in the trunk, here is the normal view. a reupholstered 4080 box sits on the passenger side, housing an image dynamics 10" subwoofer, while on the driver side, a matching side enclosure with a vinyl cover plate with raised infiniti logo http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg5.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg7.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg6.jpg
16psibrick
lets see whats behind the cover, its a DLS ultimate A5 3 channel amp, sending about 100 watts to each front side, and about 500 watts at 2ohms to the sub. the amp sits in a suede lined well, behind clear plexi. Note the mesh vent for the amp up top: http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg8.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg9.jpg http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg10.jpg the amp is chosen for its short lengths (to fit within the side of the trunk and of course, superior quality. here is a behind the scenens shot as usual to show the wiring http://simplicity.elitecaraudio.org/chrisg11.jpg overall, the goals IMO are achieved, it sounds excellent and does not take up a lot of usable space
