dc78
My Car has 9,500 miles on it, and I don't do alot of stop and go driving, but the front breaks are already making noise. Any one elso have this problem or what it might be because i wouldn't think its pad wear at that mileage.

acooper5
thats a good question because occasionally I hear the same squeak. Ussually only once I first start driving the car. Its funny, I have owned 6 subarus and they all have done it EXCEPT my STi Maybe time to switch to BREMBO's Semper Fi.
HansGT
dealer told me I had some brake residue built up. and told me to hit the brakes hard a few times to burn it off. seems to have helped me.
Xenonk
heh, it's the stock pads.. I recently swapped my SSM pads out so I can just use up some of my new leftover stock pads for the winter season.. the dust from the stock pads makes a squealing sound for some reason.. it's something about the compound that makes them squeaky. Just clean the brake dust off and maybe take off the brake pads and just sand the surface of them down.. I usually just rub mine on concrete to rough the surface up again.. it cures the problem for a good while. Keefe
