Squealing Breaks

Recommended Posts

My Car has 9,500 miles on it, and I don't do alot of stop and go driving, but the front breaks are already making noise. Any one elso have this problem or what it might be because i wouldn't think its pad wear at that mileage.

heh, it's the stock pads.. I recently swapped my SSM pads out so I can just use up some of my new leftover stock pads for the winter season.. the dust from the stock pads makes a squealing sound for some reason.. it's something about the compound that makes them squeaky. Just clean the brake dust off and maybe take off the brake pads and just sand the surface of them down.. I usually just rub mine on concrete to rough the surface up again.. it cures the problem for a good while.
