Towing with GTL wagon?

Manual says 1000# without trailer brakes, 2500# w/trailer brakes. Hitch is class 2, 3500#

Several times I've towed a 2000# trailer (with ATV inside) with no problems. Got the shortest 1.25" receiver insert I could find to reduce leverage. Ball is only about 2" away from the bumper.

Only place I notice any weight is when coming to a stop. The GT's are supposed to have larger ventilated rotors that the non-GTs.

Has anybody heard of any damage from towing this kind of weight? Last couple trips I used my Cherokee, but it sure don't drive as comfortably.

were you towing your bike at the time?

yup, was hauling the 900ss up to nhis for a trackday. luckily the bike was secured well enough that it didn't even move. trailer wheel rolled down the left hand shoulder for about a quarter of a mile.

i saw this on the highway (a different time) and snapped a pic with my phone. don't try it with the legacy.
