Nickz31se-r
So I purchased all four nets for the wagon and installed them a few days ago. They will be handy Im sure but at the same time I managed to screw up the install due to rear hole placement. The directions that the nets come with give no exact measurements as far as where to drill the needed holes. To install the nets you need to pick the 4 spots where you will drill to attatch the upper corners of the nets(the bottom corners of the net simply latch onto the stock metal tie down points). The side nets utilize the mounting points of front and rear nets, so only four points are needed. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/DSCN0689.jpg Step 1- pick the points, I found this is best accomplished by latching the nets to the bottom loops and then holding the nets up and deciding on point the both the side nets and front and rear nets can both utilize. see below for info on where to drill Step 2- mark your points Step 3- drill a pilot hole w/ said 1/8 inch bit, follow with 1/2 inch bit Step 4- install mounting knobs Step 5- hook up the nets and go to the grocery store I had no problem with the mounting points for the front net, directly above metal loops and about midway between trim. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/DSCN0696.jpg The rear net location can give you problems if you pick a spot too high or too far cabin forward. You will not have enough room behind the plastic trim to fit the mounting knob if you do this. LOOK AT MY PICS for personal reference before drilling. I now have a 1/2 inch hole in my trim and a pilot hole on one side that will be eating away at me untill I get around to doing something about it. http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/DSCN0694.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c311/ZtinkyBritches/DSCN0695.jpg
mickeyd2005
Thanks for the pics. Mine came with the aftmost net. I'll have to think about getting the other three.
SubiGT
How'd you get tan seats with grey cargo area? Nets are cool, but I keep my dogs in the way back Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
