Spec B
Sometime I'll use something out of the spare parts bin to plug the hole, but in your case, just use a little bathroom caulk that can be painted. Fill in the hole and get it relatively flush, and when its dry, dab on a little touch-up paint with a spone brush. Caulk...that is a great idea! It doesn;t look that bad, but it is one of those annoying details that I have been meaning to fix. I'll try it.

MaStaMooN
Looks hot..looks like the door hits the speaker when you walk in tho? Thanks! Yes it will.. but I only pull the speakers out like this on 'special' occasions.. generally they are tucked behind the TV facing out to the sides at about a 45 degree angle.. Not the best for sound, but watching regular TV like that is fine since most of the noise comes out of the center channel anyway. CasopoliS
Looks great!!!! Mastamoon I would be scarred someong running through the front door would slam into the sytem!!!! Here are pics of my setup from a while ago, halfway complete. I now have all my 'stuff' in the cabinets and a remote extender. Cabinets are vented. Very clean. I also just hooked up an RCA HDTV antenna for local HD broadcasts, and the signal is amazing. I also get ESPN, Discovery, HDNET, TNTHD, and some other HD channels. Looovin it. +1 for Panasonic HD monitors http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/5706/dscn1220medium4xm.jpg http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/7416/dscn1221medium7ea.jpg http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/913/dscn1222medium5he.jpg http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9020/dscn1223medium5wm.jpg http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/9373/dscn1224medium8ls.jpg

CasopoliS
I have a huge center channel, but still have not figured out where to put it. If I wree staying in this house longer I would put a recess in the wall.... but we are moving next year hopefully.
MaStaMooN
Looks great!!!! Mastamoon I would be scarred someong running through the front door would slam into the sytem!!!! Yeah that is a possiblity and a concern... but really the way you walk into a door, most people dont open the door all the way open before walking in.. atleast I nor my wife do.. the door ends up opening almost exactly flush with the tv.. and kinda funnels you in front of the TV instead of into it. So far nobody walking into my house for the first time has given me the "damn, i just walked into your TV" line. Once my son is a lil older, I can see it happening though and is why if we still own this house at that time, ill be going to a flat panel display for my next TV... hopefully S.E.D. TV's will be in full run and cheap! haha BTW, do you use your fireplace? Id stick the center channel in there on a stand if you dont.. otherwise your kinda stuck to either a center channel wall mount or a shelf of some sort like I have. Fweasel, yeah its one of those things I mean to do every time I see the sticker, but never get off my ass to do.. maybe tonight..haha Jon - vBGarage Profile
CasopoliS
I do not use the fireplace. In the winter I might light it back up, but I will not run the two devices together. The plasma heatsinks are designed to dissipate enough heat for the Plasma only... so I do not want to run the fireplace and add to the plasma heat. I will say that the plasma is not that 'exothermic' , but it still gets warm.

G.T.Subie
C'mon, you missed the most important picture... the backend of the rack! That is where the craftmenship comes in but I didn't wire the rack, I did the screen, speakers and Projector. Denial is your best friend
MaStaMooN
Are those 3 speakers under the screen considered (wired) as a single 'center' speaker? Or are they part of the 'fronts'?.. Most 7.1 systems i have seen have extra rears not fronts so I was just wondering how this is set up. Jon - vBGarage Profile

Guest JessterCPA
Any recommendations with regard to outdoor speakers? getting my patio re-done, and I already have the outside wired for it. Lookign to hang them right off the house. Prefer white. Thanks. Jesse
