Depends on your current power level - as well as what's "after" the cut-out.

Case-in-point would be brother team23jordan. His post cut-out setup is a totally catless system using 3" piping, mated to very free-flowing exhaust canisters. Last I can remember, he cited that his neighbors had complained as to his exhaust volume. ;)

With his setup, a cut-out, even professionally tuned-for, gained him barely any additional power at all. I think that the total gain with cut-out open was less than 2 wHP and a similar small increase in torque.

However, if you're pushing significantly more power (he was typical "Stage II+" at the time, I believe), or if you have significant downstream restrictions past the cut-out, you should be able to see much more of an increase.

It all depends on the setup. :)
